Jonathan Castells is having our sermon on the experience of Esther.

At Christ’s Second Coming, there is to be a great reunion of the human family. “Friends long separated by death are united, nevermore to part, and with songs of gladness ascend together to the City of God.” — Heaven, p. 45. Jesus briefly alludes to this experience with the words, “… enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.” (Matthew 25:21, 23) “The joy that was set before Jesus was that of seeing souls redeemed by the sacrifice of His … life. The salvation of man was His joy.” — Testimonies for the Church, vol. 2. p. 686. One can only imagine how thrilled Jesus will be to be united forever with the souls that have trusted in Him for eternal life.
There are times when we experience the joy of being reunited with family and loved ones. It may be at birthday celebrations, Thanksgiving, or Christmas, but from time to time, we experience the joy of reunion. At Heritage Academy, we feel great joy at the return of our alumni. Our hearts are filled with such happiness that it draws our minds to consider that greater joy that we will experience at the opening of eternity.
Last night, our alumni weekend was opened by a concert by the Castell and Chang families, who are alumni from the early 2000’s. The joy of the music they shared drew my heart to thoughts of what great joy we will share with Jesus in seeing the eternal redemption of our families with Him in heaven. The great happiness that flooded our souls yesterday is but a shadow of the experience of entering the joy of our Lord in heaven.
